The Ghat of Banaras is amazing on the evening of Ganga Aarti, why ?

 City of Baba Vishwanath

Kashi city. Varanasi, Banaras, adorned with many ancient names. It is the city of Baba Vishwanath. This city where a wonderful and supernatural bliss is attained.

Kashi Vishwanath Temple is situated on the banks of Maa Patit Pavani Ganga since ancient times. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.

Kashi Darshan

By the grace of God, we got an opportunity to stay in Kashi for two to three days. We were a total group of eight people. We left for Kashi tour. It was evening, the whole day's heat and sun had disappeared.

First of all we reached Dashashwamedh Ghat, there was so much crowd that we could not get down from the stairs. Because there was preparation for Ganga Aarti. Even the ant could not enter during the aarti.

  Darshan of Baba Vishwanath Ji

From there we went back to Baba Vishwanath temple for darshan. The crowd was quite there too but there is a system to go by line, so even a child can have darshan. We walked in the queue and reached Baba's temple.

Gorgeous and huge temple gold dome amazing. This temple was built by Maharani Ahilya Bai Holkar in 1780. After darshan of Baba Vishwanath, we continued to tour the temple and try to understand its ancient history. With the construction of Kashi Corridor, the temple complex has become very beautiful and scenic.

 bank of the Ganges

On the second day we reached Dashashwamedh Ghat at around 5 o'clock to see the Ganga Aarti after visiting many temples like Kalabhairao, Sankat Mochan Mandir, Durga Kund etc. The crowd was less, we came down the stairs in comfort. The banks of the Ganges and the cool breeze. The gust of it was creating freshness and vigor in the mind. All the tiredness disappeared.

 Dashashwamedh Ghat

According to Matsya Purana, this ghat has been named Dashvamedha Ghat because of the ten Ashwamedha Yagyas performed by Brahma. As soon as seven o'clock there was a crowd of hundreds of people on the ghat, three times more people were in the Ganga ji in steamers and boats than the people who were on the ghat. To see the Ganga aarti.

 Ganga Aarti

We also took a steamer and entered the Ganges. It was dark. The ghat had beautiful lighting arrangements. The ghat was lit up. The steamer made a tour of all the ghats of the Ganges. It seemed that we have come to another world. Then Ganga Aarti started. Very gorgeous and seductive. Filled with purity. Seeing the Ganga aarti, my mind was filled with purity.

In this way our journey to Kashi Vishwanath is completed. When are you coming to see Baba Vishwanath and see Ganga Aarti?
