Renowned screenwriter and British musician Kit Hesketh-Harvey passed away. The sudden death of Hesketh-Harvey at the age of 65 has left his loved ones in shock.
Hesketh-Harvey's birth and education
Hesketh-Harvey was born on 30 April 1957 in the former Nyasaland (now Malawi). He was educated at Canterbury Cathedral and then at Tonbridge School in Kent. Later, he studied English literature at Clare College, Cambridge. He also became a member of the Footlights Drama Club. Hesketh-Harvey also held a visiting professorship at the University of Oxford. Studied under Stephen Sondheim during visiting professorship.

Hesketh-Harvey also acted in BBC shows. Long associated with the cabaret duo, running until 2012 with pianist Richard Sisson. He was adept at playing a variety of roles.
He won the 1988 Vivian Ellis Prize for musical theater writers. In October 2017 his first detective novel, For the Shooting, was published. He wrote songs for war and peace.

Hesketh-Harvey was married to actress Catherine Rabett in 1986. She used to work in the dance troupe Hot Gossip. Catherine Rabat was a former girlfriend of Prince Andrew. The couple split in 2021. Their marriage lasted successfully for 35 years. They had two children, Augusta and Rollo.
Hesketh-Harvey was also the brother of former Today editor Sarah Sands.
Mark Palmer, the travel editor of the Daily Mail, was her brother-in-law.
